Norwalk Police Crack Down On Distracted Driving: Report

Norwalk police said they issued nearly 400 infractions for distracted driving during the month of April.

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk police said they issued nearly 400 infractions for distracted driving during the month of April, the Norwalk Hour reported.

According to the Hour, police participated in the "U Text. U Drive. U Pay" campaign, which resulted in 355 infractions being issued to local drivers for cell phone violations. Police also said 32 infractions were issued for other violations, while three suspended operators were issued summonses.
