Norwalk Police Department Names 2 Officers Of The Month

The Norwalk Police Department has announced two "Officers of the Month" for January 2026.

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Police Department has announced two "Officers of the Month" for January 2026.

In a Facebook post, the department said officers Mark Vozzella and Jonathan Branciforte have both been named officers of the month.

According to the department, Vozzella investigated a violent domestic violence incident that began in Stamford on Jan. 6, after which a suspect transported a victim to Norwalk, where additional crimes were committed.

Vozzella's thorough investigation led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for the suspect, according to the department.

On Jan. 7, officers received information that the suspect was in the area of West Avenue.

Branciforte then located and arrested the suspect after an extensive search, according to the department.

"This successful outcome reflects the dedication, teamwork, and professionalism of both officers," police wrote on Facebook. "We commend officers Vozzella and Branciforte for their outstanding work and commitment to keeping our community safe."
