Norwalk Police Host Children's Holiday Party

The police athletic league sponsored event provided lunch, entertainment and a gift for 150 children.

The Norwalk Police Department Community Police Unit held its annual children’s holiday party Dec. 12.

The Norwalk P.A.L. sponsored event provides lunch, entertainment and a gift to all the one hundred fifty children that were invited. In addition, the Community Police Unit raffled off thirty-seven bicycles. The B.J. Ryan’s Foundation provided food for the event and Santa, aka retired Norwalk Officer Joe Kubik handed out gifts.

Community Police Sergeant Tom Fern said that unfortunately for some in Norwalk, the holiday season is just like any other day, as they struggle to put another meal on the table. The Norwalk Police Department and its many generous sponsors work hard to share the gift of giving with our city’s most vulnerable children so they too can experience the warmth of the holiday season.
