Norwalk Police Investigate Fatal Incident on Plattsville Avenue

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk police are investigating a fatal incident on Friday that began on Plattsville Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Plattsville Avenue just after 12 noon for what police described as a report of an injured male.

"Arriving officers located a male under a vehicle in the driveway and immediately began rendering aid," wrote Sgt. Sofia Gulino in a statement. "The man, whose identity is not being released at this time, was transported to Norwalk Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries."

The Hour reports that the man was crushed when a pickup truck that he was working under fell on him.

Additional details were not immediately available, but the Norwalk Police Detective Bureau has assumed the investigation.
