Norwalk Police Lieutenant Retires After 27 Years Of Service

Lt. Brian Cunningham recently retired from the department's Emergency Service Unit after 27 years of service, according to police.

NORWALK, CT — A city police lieutenant has retired after more than two decades of service, according to the Norwalk Police Department.

In a Facebook post Thursday, police congratulated Lt. Brian Cunningham, who recently retired from the department's Emergency Service Unit after 27 years of service.

"Thank you for your longstanding commitment to the team," the post reads.

In his retirement, Cunningham will continue to serve the department as commander of its training unit.
