Norwalk Police Officer Retires After 35 Years Of Service
Officer Mike Silva recently celebrated his last day of service in Norwalk after more than 35 years with the department.

NORWALK, CT — On Aug. 31, Mike Silva completed his last day of service with the Norwalk Police Department after serving the city as a police officer for over 35 years.
According to the department's Facebook page, Silva began his long and dedicated career in Norwalk on Aug. 21, 1987.
During his more than three decades working for the department, Silva was assigned to multiple units and received a number of awards, including Officer of the Month, a Life Saving Award and The Courage of Connecticut Award.

He also received many letters of appreciation, according to the department.
"May the wind always be at your back," police said on Facebook. "Congratulations Mike."
