Norwalk Police Release Surveillance Photos from Armed Convenience Store Robbery

The robbery occurred on Main Street at 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 14.

NORWALK, CT — Local police are continuing to search for two armed robbers of the Rainbow News & Variety store on Main Street on Jan. 14, and have released surveillance photos to help with the investigation.

The two struck at 11:30 p.m. They were described as two white or light skin Hispanic males, and at least one male had an Hispanic accent. Additionally, both were wearing hooded sweatshirts, masks, and gloves.

"One suspect was armed with a large silver colored revolver and the other appeared to be a black semi-automatic pistol," wrote Norwalk police in a statement. "Both suspects pointed their guns at the owner and demanded he open the registers for the business and Connecticut Lottery or they would shoot him. The suspects then fled on foot."
