Norwalk Police Remind Residents To Lock Vehicles

Police said ​the department has seen an increased number of unlocked cars being entered overnight.

NORWALK, CT — Police are warning residents to make sure their cars are locked at night and all valuables have been removed from the vehicles. Police said on Facebook the department has seen an increased number of unlocked cars being entered overnight.

Residents are reminded to remove all valuables, purses, bags, computers and car keys/fobs from their vehicles. Police also suggest setting an alarm for 9 p.m. every night as a reminder to check if all vehicles are locked. (To sign up for Norwalk breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Anyone who notices suspicious activity is asked to contact police immediately at 203-854-3000. Check the department's Facebook page for further information.
