Norwalk Police Welcome 6 New Officers To Department: PD

The six new officers were sworn in during a ceremony this week, according to the Norwalk Police Department.

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Police Department officially welcomed six new recruits during a ceremony this week.

In a Facebook post, police said the new officers were sworn in Monday by Mayor Barbara Smyth and the city's police commissioners.

According to the department, the following officers were sworn in during the ceremony:

  • Jacob Lopez

The new officers will next attend the police academy, where they will "endure a rigorous academic, mental and physical training regime," according to the department.

"Please join us in wishing them a long, safe and rewarding career as they serve the community of Norwalk," police wrote on Facebook.
