Norwalk Police Welcomes Three New Experienced Officers
The department has grown stronger through the addition of three new officers with plenty of experience.

The Norwalk Police Department continues to expand its roster of experienced officers by adding three new members.
Brian Hamm, Jaime Acosta and Ariel Martinez all come from different areas of the state and help fill out the 179 officer count the department is budgeted for, The Hour reported. It is the first time they have been able to reach full budgeted strength in over 15 years.
Hamm and Martinez both come from different city forces, Stratford and Bridgeport respectively, while Acosta was previously an officer at Uconn’s Storrs campus, according to The Hour.

The three were sworn in last Friday, May 6 in Norwalk. The move is especially meaningful to Hamm, who The Hour reported has both parents and a step-father that were part of the department when he was younger.
