Norwalk Public Schools Chief Academic Officer Earns 40 Under 40 Award
Dr. Michael T. Conner earned the 40 Under 40 Achievement Award from The Network Journal's 20th annual event.

Conner, Norwalk Public Schools Chief Academic Officer, was the recent recipient of The Network Journal's 20th annual 40-Under-40 Achievement award. The dinner was held this summer (2017) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in New York's Time Square.
Dr. Conner has been employed with Norwalk Public Schools since September 21, 2015. Previously he worked for Windham Public Schools, where he served as Assistant Superintendent of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership. His responsibilites in Windham included leading district teams in the development of the district's five-year strategic plan, coordinating the district's professional development plan, designing and implementing the district's instructional framework. Under his leadership in Norwalk, Dr. Conner and his team have made great strides for the district, including, but not limited to, middle school redesign, closing, the achievement gap for ELL/ESL students and improved overall data in various cohorts.
Dr. Conner and his team, under the leadership of Dr. Stephen Adamowski, Superintendent, continue to work assiduously to further close the gap.
