Norwalk Public Schools' Free Meals Extended To End Of School Year
"Children do not have to attend Norwalk Public Schools to receive meals."
NORWALK, CT — Norwalk Public Schools' Free Meals program has been extended for the rest of the 2020-21 school year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to officials.
Under the program, nine school and community locations serve "grab and go" breakfasts and lunches, noon to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
"Children do not have to attend Norwalk Public Schools to receive meals," officials wrote in an announcement, adding that children between the ages of 2 and 18 are eligible. "All children enrolled in Norwalk Public Schools are eligible for free meals whether they are in person or distance learning. No paperwork or proof of immigration status is needed."
