Norwalk Public Schools' Snowy-Day Decision on School Hours

Norwalk Public Schools administration has made a decision on holding school on Friday, a day with expected snow.

District administrators for Norwalk Public Schools have decided to dismiss all schools two hours early on Friday, a day when more snow is expected in the afternoon.

The school district issued this announcement on its website Friday morning:

“Norwalk Public Schools will have a 2 hour early dismissal today, Friday, March 20 due to the expected weather. All afterschool and evening activities are cancelled.”

These other schools and organizations have also announced early dismissal, according to the WFSB-TV “Closings and Delays” Web page:

  • Ability Beyond — closes at noon
  • Apple Tree Preschool — early dismissal
  • ELLI Lab School at Stepping Stones Museum — early dismissal at 1 p.m.
  • Happy Time Nursery School — early dismissal
  • High Road School — early dismissal
  • Marvin Children’s Center — early dismissal

In this area, these other public school districts have also announced early dismissal for Friday according to the WFSB-TV web page listing: Darien, Stamford, Weston, Easton and Ridgefield.
