Norwalk Releases Labor Day 2021 Garbage, Recycling Schedule

In light of the Labor Day holiday weekend, garbage and recycling collection will follow the city's holiday schedule.

NORWALK, CT — In light of the Labor Day holiday weekend, there will be no garbage and recycling collection services Monday in Norwalk.

According to a news release, garbage and recycling collection will follow the city's holiday schedule. City of Norwalk Garbage and Recycling normally collected on Monday will be collected Tuesday.

Tuesday routes will be collected Wednesday and this pattern will continue until Friday routes are collected Saturday, city officials said.

The Norwalk Transfer Station, located at 61 Crescent Street, and the Yard Waste Site, located at 15 South Smith Street, will both be closed Monday and will reopen for regular business hours Tuesday.

City Hall will be closed Monday and be open during regular hours Tuesday.
