Norwalk Releases Updated Garbage, Recycling Schedule

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk officials said city garbage and recycling have been cancelled for Thursday due to the severity of the weather. Officials also said the Norwalk Transfer Station, located at 61 Crescent Street, will be closing at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Residents are asked to please remove their garbage and recycling containers from the curb, according to a release.

City garbage and recycling collection services will follow this schedule for the remainder of the week:

• Wednesday garbage and recycling routes – collected Friday, Jan. 5
• Thursday garbage and recycling routes – collected Saturday, Jan. 6
• Friday garbage and recycling routes – collected Sunday, Jan. 7
