Norwalk Resident Joins Stamford Law Firm

Robinson+Cole’s Business Litigation Group welcomes Patrick W. Begos as a partner in the firm’s Stamford office. Mr. Begos has nearly 30 years of commercial and insurance litigation, arbitration, mediation and negotiation experience, representing companies and individuals in a wide array of industries.

Mr. Begos has a national reputation in handling litigation under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and, in particular, denial of group benefits claims. He has litigated hundreds of ERISA cases and has been involved in shaping the development of ERISA law across the country.

Mr. Begos is a regular speaker at ERISA and insurance conferences around the country and has written extensively for various nationwide publications. He is the author of the ERISA Claim Defense Blog, offering cutting edge commentary and guidance on administration and evaluation of group benefits claims.

Mr. Begos holds leadership roles in the Defense Research Institute, a leading organization of civil defense attorneys and in-house counsel, where he serves as editor of ERISA Reports and as a member of the Life, Health and Disability Committee. In addition, he is actively involved in various community organizations, including serving as co-chair of the School Governance Council for Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk, and as part of the Senators’ Success Fund, a fundraising and community outreach group.
