Norwalk’s Annual Fireworks display will take place on Wednesday July 3, 2019, at Calf Pasture Beach. The Norwalk Department of Police Service will have enhanced security at this event. Similar to last year, uniformed police officers will be patrolling the beach along with members of the Emergency Services Unit. The Norwalk Department of Police Service wants all attendees to have a happy and safe time.
Norwalk Police Officers will be working traffic posts in lower East Norwalk however; those travelling in lower East Norwalk should expect significant delays prior to and after the fireworks due to high traffic volume. All drivers are asked to use extreme caution due to the high volume of pedestrian traffic in and around Beach Road. We ask all drivers to be patient and courteous, as our officers will do their best to clear the traffic as quickly as possible.
We remind all attendees of the following rules for Calf Pasture Beach, no glass, no dogs, and no fireworks. Anyone found with these items could be subject to fine and even removal from the beach.
We remind everyone to report any suspicious activity immediately by calling 911. If you see something, say something. Have a happy and safe holiday.

Parking and Traffic
Access to parking at Bayley Beach will be according to daytime rules: vehicles with a Bayley Beach sticker will be admitted, a $40 Special Event Parking Fee will be charged to non-residents. We encourage you to walk to the fireworks if possible, as the parking lot fills up early!
For Bayley Beach rules and regulations, visit the Sixth Taxing District’s website.
NO PERSONAL FIREWORKS ALLOWED
Note:
We encourage you to walk to the fireworks and Summer Music Festival as we will have less parking at the beach this year – as parking is no longer allowed on the baseball field. All overflow parking will be located at Rowayton School.
For fire safety issues, street parking is not allowed in the vicinity of Bayley Beach. Please observe all parking rules – we do not want to jeopardize future 4th of July events as has happened in the past, when Rowayton was unable to have fireworks for 5 years.
We will be offering a drop off lane at the guard shack as you enter Bayley Beach. You can drop off your passengers, coolers and other goods; please then proceed to park at Rowayton School.
The Sixth Taxing District will be charging out-of-towners walking into the beach, so residents need to bring their beach walk in passes.
