A pair of squads who are off to 0-2 starts clash on Tuesday when the boys basketball team hosts Stamford on Tuesday in a 7 p.m. start .

So far, Stamford, which lost to Bassick in last year's FCIAC championship game, has had trouble scoring.

The Black Knights opened their season with a 61-50 loss to Greenwich and followed that up with a 52-35 defeat to Staples on Friday.

McMahon is coming off an 85-82 double overtime loss to Danbury, which followed a season-opening defeat to Bassick.

Also on Tuesday, Norwalk (1-1) is at Fairfield Warde (1-1) in a battle of teams coming off their first losses of the season.

Norwalk suffered an 80-69 defeat to defending Class M state champion Trinity Catholic on Friday while Warde fell to Bassick, 65-44.

The McMahon girls team (2-2)  has a tough test at 4-0 Stamford (5:30 p.m.) while the Norwalk girls (0-3) will be looking for their first win of the season when they host Fairfield Warde (4 p.m.)

Stamford handed Staples its first loss with a 43-34 victory on Friday while Norwalk came close in a 47-45 defeat to Trinity Catholic.

Warde (1-3) earned its first win of the season with a 66-16 drubbing of Bassick on Friday.
