Norwalk Boys Defeat Fairfield Ludlowe, 60-51

The boys basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak Thursday with a 60-51 victory over Fairfield Ludlowe.
Jabari Dear and Ra'van Shular each scored 11 points for the Bears, who improved to 6-3.

After holding a 24-23 halftime lead, Norwalk outscored Ludlowe 19-11 in the decisive third period to take a 43-34 lead into the final period.
Mark Cerulli scored 12 points for the Falcons, who dropped to 2-7. Tyler Bulkley added 10 for Ludlowe.

Sal Siciliano recorded a double-double as the Fairfield Warde boys basketball team snapped a mini-slide with a 74-55 victory over McMahon on Thursday.
Siciliano had 20 points and 12 rebounds and blocked seven shots for the Mustangs (5-4), who halted a two-game losing streak.
Michael Wright added 17 points and Joe Black chipped in with 11 points for Warde.
The Senators opened a 13-9 lead after the first period, but Warde stormed back in the second period to take a 34-29 halftime edge.
The Mustangs then exploded in the third quarter, outscoring McMahon 28-9 to take a 62-38 cushion into the final period.
Darkym Stout scored 13 points and Timmy Hinton added 11 for the Senators, who dropped to 1-8.

Erica Cohens scored 14 points to lead the red-hot Norwalk girls basketball team to a 44-38 victory over Fairfield Ludlowe.
Emma Oyomba added 13 for the Bears (7-3), who have won seven in a row after starting the season 0-3.
Norwalk built a 20-16 halftime lead, then took control in the third quarter when it outscored the Falcons by a 11-5 margin. The Bears took a 31-21 lead into the final period.
Caroline Pangallo and Sarah Nesi led the Falcons with eight points while eight points apiece.
The Falcons dropped their second straight to fall to 5-5 at the midpoint of the season.

The Fairfield Warde girls basketball team climbed over .500 for the first time this season with a 74-37 victory over McMahon on Thursday.
Kate Kerrigan scored 19 points and Tiara Fountain added 15 for the Mustangs, who improved to 6-5. Warde has won six of eight after starting 0-3.
The Mustangs started fast, building a 20-7 lead after the first quarter. They had another 20-point period to open a 40-18 lead at the half.
Kayla Crosswelle had 10 points to lead the Semators (3-8), who have dropped seven of eight.
