The George Washington Carver seventh-grade boys basketball team is off to a good start. It is on a four-game winning streak after opening the season with a heartbreaking 56-55 loss to St Theresa’s of Trumbull.
Carver looked a little flat but did manage to lead for most of the game. But St Theresa’s wouldn’t go away, forcing Carver into several unforced turnovers and Carver didn’t help much by missing several wide-open layups and open jumpers.
