Norwalk stayed alive in the 14-year-old Babe Ruth state tournament with a 10-3 victory over Tri-County-New London at Mercer Field on Tuesday.
Ryan Evans had three hits and drove in three runs for Norwalk, which will take on Stamford on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Mercer Field in the loser's bracket semifinals.

Evans started on the mound for Norwalk and scattered five hits over five innings.
Stamford avoided elimination with a 4-3 victory over North Haven.

Tommy McDonagh is fourth after two rounds of the New England Amateur championship at the Metacomet Country Club in East Providence, R.I.
McDonagh followed up a first-round 70 with a 3-under par 67 on Tuesday, leaving him at 3-under 137 for the tournament. He is six shots behind leader Peter Williamson of New Hampshire (64-67-131).
Connecticut's Jeff Hedden and Massachusetts' Ricky Werenski are tied for third at 133.
McDonagh, the former St. Luke's standout who now plays out of Shorehaven in Norwalk, is playing in his first tournament since winning the Connecticut Amateur and Ike Campionship in a span of four days last month.
The low 40 scores, plus ties, advanced to the final two rounds, which will be played Wednesday.
Among other local players, Cameron Wilson, who also plays out of Shorehaven, is tied for seventh at 139 (68-71).
Darien's Peter Ballo, who plays out of Woodway, is tied for 11th at 141 (70-71). No other area players made the cut.
Brian Tohir of the Country Club of New Canaan posted a two-round total of 146 (73-73), missing the cut by two shots.
New Canaan's William Delano finished at 14-over 154 after shooting a pair of 77s.
After completing 36 holes Wednesday, McDonagh will drive to JFK Airport in New York for a 10 p.m. flight to Ireland. He is next competing in the South of Ireland Amateur, which begins Saturday.
Past winners of that tournament include current British Open champion Darren Clarke, Graham McDowell and Padraig Harrrington.
-- The Norwalk senior American Legion team, the No. 10 seed, hosts No. 23 Waterford on Wednesday for a spot in the main state tournament. The game is set for McMahon at 4:30 p.m.
Waterford advanced with a 9-8 victory over Ellington on Tuesday.
The Norwalk junior American Legion squad will play at Rockville on Saturday at noon. The winner of that contest then plays at Danbury South on Sunday at noon.
If Norwalk is still alive, it would play at No. 5 seed RCP on Monday at 4 p.m.
