The Norwalk senior American Legion team defeated Waterford 7-4 on Wednesday to advance to the state tournament.
The eight zone winners gained automatic berths into the 16-team double elimination event. The other eight teams were determined through a play-in tournament on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Two other teams from Zone Four -- Trumbull and Stamford -won games Wednesday to also qualify.
On Saturday, Norwalk takes on Niantic at Muzzy Field in Bristol at 12:30 p.m., and Trumbull faces Windsor Locks in Bristol at 3:30 p.m.

At Palmer Field in Middletown, Stamford battles Branford at 3:30 p.m. after Greenwich takes on Bethel at 12:30 p.m.
Greenwich received the automatic berth into the tournament.
The Norwalk 14-year-old Babe Ruth team was blanked by Stamford 10-0 Wednesday in the losers semifinals in the state tournament.
Norwalk managed only one hit off Stamford starter Justin Nizolek.
The game was called after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule, sending Stamford into the loser's bracket final against Simsbury, which 7-2 to Waterford in the winner's bracket final.
shooting a 77 in the third round of the New England Amateur championship at the Metacomet Country Club in East Providence, R.I., Tommy McDonagh was forced to withdraw Wednesday before the final round to catch a 10 p.m. flight out of JFK for Ireland.
McDonagh is playing in the South of Ireland Amateur, which begins Saturday. He was tied for fourth after the second round of the New England Amateur on Tuesday.
McDonagh, the former St. Luke's standout who now plays out of Shorehaven in Norwalk, was playing in his first tournament since winning the Connecticut Amateur and Ike Campionship in a span of four days last month.
Connecticut's Jeff Hedden won the tournament, posting a 72-hole total of 13-under par 267. He finished six shots ahead of Massachusetts' Richy Werenski.
Among other local players, Cameron Wilson, who also plays out of Shorehaven, finished tie for at 2-over 282. He shot rounds of 73 and 70 on Wednesday.
Darien's Peter Ballo, who plays out of Woodway, finished in a tie for 36th with four-round total of 300.
Ballo, who was tied for 11th after Tuesday, struggled on Wednesday with rounds of 75 and 84.
