McMahon ace Bryan Daniello recently was named the FCIAC baseball player of the year.
Daniello went 6-4 with a 1.33 ERA for the Senators and also batted .437 with 16 RBI, six doubles, three triples and three home runs. He helped lead McMahon to a 16-4 regular-season record and the FCIAC's Central Division championship.

McMahon's season ended with a 4-0 loss to New Britain in the quarterfinals of the CIAC Class LL state tournament.

St. Joseph and Barlow play for the Class S title at 10:30 a.m., New Canaan and Wilton vie for the Class M championship at 1 p.m. and Fairfield Prep and Ridgefield clash for the Class LL crown at 3:30 p.m.
-- McMahon's Shellyann Lindo will compete in the 66th annual New England interscholastic outdoor track and field championships set for Saturday in Burlington, Vermont.
Lindo qualified 15th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.46.
