More than the usual town bragging rights wil be on the line Monday when the Norwalk and McMahon baseball teams square off at McMahon.
Due to the threat of inclement weather for tonight and Tuesday, the start of the game, originally set for 7 p.m., has been moved up to 4 p.m.

While McMahon (12-3) has clinched a playoff spot and is hoping to host a quarterfinal game in the FCIAC playoffs, the Senators would like nothing better than to knock out their biggest rivals.
Norwalk (9-6), which has dropped two in a row after winning seven straight, begins the final week of the regular season, tied for seventh with Wilton (9-6) and Greenwich (9-6).

After Monday, the Bears host Ridgefield and Bridgeport Central.
Greenwich closes with Trinity Catholic, Wilton and Staples while Wilton also has Ridgefield (Monday) and Trinity Catholic (Friday).
As far as tiebreakers, Norwalk beat Greenwich but lost to Wilton.
FRIDAY'S RESULTS
Softball
Norwalk 5, Trumbull 4 (8) -- Winning pitcher Patti Sciglimpaglia drove in the winning run with a two-out single in the eighth. Eleni Petridis had four hits for the Bears while Sciglimpaglia added three.
Baseball
Trumbull 10, Norwalk 7 -- Matt Ederle and Jame Cooksey each had three hits and drove in two runs for the Bears, who have dropped two in a row.

New Canaan 8, McMahon 7 (3OT) -- Matt Blasco scored the winning goal with 2:20 left in the third overtime for the Rams, who rallied from a 7-3 deficit in the final nine minutes of regulation. (See )
