New Canaan-McMahon to air live on MSG Varsity

MSG Varsity, Cablevision’s 24/7 HD network dedicated to everything high school, will feature state rivals New Canaan and McMahon in a live football broadcast on Thursday at 7 p.m.

The contest, to be played at McMahon, will air on MSG Varsity, Cablevision’s iO TV, Channel 14 and also stream live on MSG Varsity.com/Livecast.

Ed Cohen (play-by-play) will be joined by Roman Oben (color analyst) and Chad Cutler (sideline reporter) as they call this rivalry for the Connecticut/Westchester/Hudson Valley viewers.

Boys soccer

Westhill 3, McMahon 0 -- The Senators dropped their fifth straight to fall to 1-6.

Norwalk 6, Wilton 2 -- Nick Zuniga scores twice for the Bears (5-1-1), who post a season high in goals. They have been shut out in two straight games and four of their last five.

Field hockey

Norwalk 4, Danbury 0 -- --Thenya Taiyanides, Katie  Schmidt Gab Meza and Efthimia Kutru scored for the Bears
