Norwalk Scores and Standings: Sept. 21

McMahon's Chris Madaffari led all FCIAC runners in Saturday's Wilton Invitational. The senior posted a time of 17.11 in the 3.1-mile race at Allen's Meadow, which was good for fifth overall among 116 runners who finished the race.

Madaffari was the the only runner from McMahon to finish in the top 30.

However, Norwalk, which placed second in the team competition among the large schools,had three finishers place in the top 30: No. 25 Ian McGrath (18:22), No. 26 Edwin Rosales (18:28) and No. 28 Christian Bonebrake (18:29).  

In the girls race, Claire Turner finished 28th for the Bears, completing the 2.8-mile course in 19.18.

TUESDAY'S SCHEDULE

Boys soccer

Norwalk 5, Stamford 0 -- Kevin Joslyn had two goals and Santiago  Muriel, Matt Capomolla Mike Broncati one each for the Bears, who improved to 3-0. Svet Kozak needed to make just two saves for the shutout.

McMahon 1, Ridgefield 1 --  Nicole Angeley scored for the Senators (2-0-1), who remained unbeaten.

Norwalk 1, Fairfield Warde 0 (OT) -- -- Kate Schmidt scored the game winner for the Bears with just over six minutes remaining in overtime
