Norwalk Seafood Stand To Reopen For 2023 Season This Month

Overton's, a popular outdoor waterfront food stand that has become a summer staple in East Norwalk, has announced its opening day for 2023.

NORWALK, CT — Overton's Seafood, a popular outdoor waterfront food stand that has become a summer staple in Norwalk, will start serving customers again next week, the restaurant announced Wednesday.

Overton's will reopen for the 2023 season on March 24 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the restaurant's Facebook page. The seafood stand typically closes each year in November and reopens in March.

Located along the water on Seaview Avenue, right down the street from Harbor Lights restaurant and Mr. Frosty's Ice Cream Shop, Overton's boasts a long history in East Norwalk that dates back over 60 years.

The restaurant has changed little, if at all, since opening decades ago, according to the restaurant's website.

Local boaters can tie up their vessel at the long dock in front of the restaurant and stop for lunch or dinner, while the outside deck offers guests the opportunity to take in gorgeous water views as they eat.

Customers typically flock to Overton's during the warm summer months, where they can enjoy hot dogs, cheeseburgers and fries, as well as fried seafood items such as shrimp, scallops and belly clams. They also sell ice cream for dessert.
