Norwalk Seaport Association Delays Start Of 2019 Oyster Festival

NORWALK, CT — The 2019 Norwalk Oyster Festival will not open tonight, Sept. 6, as originally scheduled due to Friday's heavy rains, organizers announced.

"Ah oh... because Mother Nature isn't cooperating we are NOT opening the festival tonight, Friday, September 6th," Norwalk Seaport Association officials wrote on Facebook. "We always have the comfort and safety of our loyal Festival Guests in mind!"

The festival will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, Sept. 7, and close at 11 p.m., and open again at 11 a.m. on Sunday and close at 8 p.m.

Better weather is expected on both days.
