Norwalk To Stripe Angled Parking Spaces On 3 Downtown Streets
The city is installing reverse angle parking on Wall, River and Main streets beginning on Sept. 16.

NORWALK, CT — New reverse angle parking spaces will be installed on sections of Wall, River and Main streets in Norwalk, according to officials.
The city will begin line striping work on those streets, and in the Main Street parking lot, on Sept. 16.
"Signage will be posted alerting motorists of the scheduled work and changing traffic patterns," officials wrote in a statement. "Street parking will be limited. Free parking will be available at the Yankee Doodle Garage while the project is ongoing. Additionally, ambassadors with LAZ Parking will be available to answer questions and help direct drivers to the Garage."

The lines are being painted for reverse – or back-in – angle parking spots, which is a safer method for motorists and will add 10 spaces to the area. The striping work is expected to be completed by Sept. 20, weather permitting.
