Norwalk Theater To Exit Bankruptcy Protection: Report

The theater has emerged from bankruptcy protection​​ after implementing a plan of reorganization.

NORWALK, CT —The Wall Street Theater in Norwalk has emerged from bankruptcy protection after nearly a year of issues, including a lawsuit, the Fairfield County Business Journal reported. A vote of creditors unanimously approved the move.

According to the Fairfield County Business Journal, the theater was able to successfully implement a plan of reorganization after filing a voluntary petition for Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Connecticut last February. The Wall Street Theater is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, according to the theater's website. The venue offers live shows, as well as "interactive entertainment, cinema, digital productions, art space and a community arena in which to play," the website reads.

The current schedule listed on the website includes performances from artists such as Almost Queen (Feb. 15), The Marshall Tucker Band (March 16) and The Musical Box: A Genesis Extravaganza (May 31).
