Norwalk Track and Field Athlete Places Well at National Championships

Connecticut had a total of four first place winners and 43 top 10 placements in the New Balance Nationals Outdoor meet in North Carolina.

Of all the Connecticut track and field athletes participating in the New Balance Nationals Outdoor Championships last week, relay teams experienced the most success.

The Nutmeg State produced 43 top 10 finishes, including four winners, at the annual national-level meet at North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro.

Relay teams from Windsor, Wethersfield, Ridgefield and Greenwich all took first place in their respective races.

Thirty-two Connecticut placements came in the Championship division, nine in the Emerging Elite category, and two in the Freshman competition.
