MILFORD, CT — Milford police announced that four people, three New Haven residents and a Norwalk resident, have been arrested for their role in an armed home invasion, which occurred on May 29, 2017.
On that date in May, Milford Police received a complaint of a home invasion which occurred at a Melba Street home and that the suspects had just left in a silver Infiniti sedan after using a firearm to forcibly take items from the resident’s home, police said.
While en-route a cop observed a vehicle matching the description traveling at a high rate of speed on Old Gate Lane near New Haven Avenue, and began pursuing, police said. The pursuit ended as the officer lost sight of the vehicle on East Town Road near Boston Post Road. The officer was able to record the license plate number which came back to Charles Johnson, 47, of Haven Street, New Haven, police said.

Officers learned that the victims had recently gotten to the house and were inside of the male victims bedroom when two black males, both with their faces concealed, forced themselves into the room and using a firearm demanded money from the victims, police said.
After several minutes, an additional family member of the male victim came home and announced their presence, police said. At this point the male suspects grabbed several items from the room and left the residence, police said.
