Norwalk Woman Accused Of DUI, Driving Wrong Way On Highway: State PD
The woman is accused of driving the wrong way and striking another vehicle while operating under the influence, according to state police.
NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk woman is accused of driving the wrong way and striking a vehicle on I-95 in Milford while operating under the influence on Sunday night, according to Connecticut State Police.
Police said Troop G in Bridgeport was advised around 10:30 p.m. of a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes on I-95 in the area of Exit 39 in Milford.
Responding troopers saw a silver Subaru Forester with a Connecticut registration traveling south in the northbound lanes and initiated a motor vehicle stop, safely bringing the vehicle to a stop in the area of Exit 37, according to police.

Police said Troop G was further advised that the Subaru had struck another vehicle before being stopped by troopers. No injuries were reported as a result of the collision, according to police.
The driver, identified as 34-year-old Kelsey McManus of Norwalk, was “exhibiting signs of possible impairment,” according to police.

Police said McManus agreed to participate in standardized field sobriety tests, which were “not performed to standard.”
McManus was arrested on charges of operating under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, reckless driving, driving wrong way on a divided highway, first-degree reckless endangerment, and interfering with officer/resisting.
She was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of Sept. 21.
