Norwalk Woman Arrested for Tossing Hot Coffee at Other Customers: Report

A drive-thru, a beeping horn and an altercation.

NORWALK, CT — A 46-year-old Norwalk woman, apparently angered by the drive-thru customers behind her beeping their horn, got out of her car and threw hot coffee on them, according to police.

The incident occurred Wednesday evening at the Dunkin Donuts at 545 Connecticut Ave. when Sharon Massey allegedly swore at the couple behind her and threw her coffee at them, reports The Hour. The couple told police that Massey was taking a long time at the drive-thru.

In addition to her coffee, Massey also threw her purse at the couple, which contained her driver's license that police used to track her down. She was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, and third-degree criminal mischief, and is due in court on Jan. 20.
