Norwalk Youth Symphony
April 24th Open House
The Norwalk Youth Symphony, an established youth orchestra in the area is hosting its annual Open House. All interested parents, students and music teachers are invited to experience a typical Sunday afternoon rehearsal. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet with the conductors, student musicians and board members who will be available to answer questions. Guided tours of the rehearsals will also be available. This year the annual NYS Open House will take place on Sunday April 24, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Norwalk Concert Hall located at 125 East Avenue Norwalk CT.
Norwalk Youth Symphony’s 60th regular season will conclude with its Mother’s Day Concert at Norwalk Concert Hall on May 8th. The Norwalk Youth Symphony enjoys the reputation of being one of the premier youth symphonies in Fairfield, New Haven, Westchester and Litchfield Counties. NYS is comprised of 250 students from more than 30 towns. The organization sponsors six tiered orchestras with students from the 4TH through 12TH grades. NYS is looking for talented musicians who play stringed, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. Auditions are held in late August.
