Norwalk's Cranbury School Hosting 1st Ever Walk-A-Thon
The walk will take place on Friday, Oct. 3.

Cranbury Elementary School will host its first fundraising Walk-a-Thon at 10 a.m. Friday Oct. 3, at 10 Knowalot Lane.
The Cranbury Walk-a-Thon is a fundraiser organized by the school’s PTO, with participation and pledges driven by the students.
“Other schools in the Norwalk community have had great success with this type of fundraising event, so we thought it was time for Cranbury to give it a try,” said Daina Donohue, the PTO’s Fundraising Chair.

To date, Cranbury students have raised $10,328 in Walk-a-Thon pledges, which is 69 percent of the target fundraising goal. Monies raised will go towards new technology in the classrooms and various school enrichment programs. The students have been excited and enthusiastic to participate in the fundraising effort, which involves them being active and promoting healthy living while also competing for prizes for the top fundraisers in the school, such as lunch with the school’s Principal, “Assistant Principal for the Day” and “Principal for the Day,” among other prizes.
