Norwalk's History Available For Free June 11
Connecticut Open House Day means free admission to Mill Hill Historic Park and the Norwalk Historical Society Museum.

NORWALK, CT — Those interested in seeing local history up close and personal can do so for free next month.
That's because the Norwalk Historical Society will be celebrating Connecticut Open House Day 2022 with free admission to both Mill Hill Historic Park and the Norwalk Historical Society Museum.
Visitors can experience Norwalk’s history with a visit to both locations between noon and 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 11.

Walk-ins welcome and registration is only required for the guided tours at Mill Hill Historic Park at noon, 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m . To register, visit www.NorwalkHistoricalSociety.org.
At Mill Hill Historic Park, visitors can take self-guided tours of the Norwalk Historical Society’s award-winning exhibition, “Norwalk’s Changing Communities 13,000 BC – 1835,” the c.1740 Governor Fitch Law Office and the c.1826 Downtown District one-room schoolhouse.

They can also stroll through the Mill Hill Burying Ground and the Colonial Herb Garden, all with sweeping views of the Norwalk River.
Those interested in a guided tour at noon, 12:30 p.m. or 1 p.m. can register at www.NorwalkHistoricalSociety.org.
At the Norwalk Historical Society Museum, take a self-guided tour of the museum’s nine exhibitions that highlight Norwalk's rich history.
The Norwalk Historical Society Museum’s gift shop will be open as well.
Mill Hill Historic Park is located at 2 E. Wall St., with limited parking onsite – follow blue signs to additional parking.
The Norwalk Historical Society Museum is located at 141 East Ave. with parking and entrance from the Norwalk City Hall parking lot.
The museum is the brick house with blue doors, next to the Norwalk Health Department.
