Norwalk's Veterans Park to Receive 2 Seasonal Ice Rinks

NORWALK, CT — A pair of seasonal ice skating rinks are slated to open this month at Veterans Memorial Park in East Norwalk, courtesy of the SoNo Ice House.

The temporary Rinks at Veterans Park will allow people to learn how to skate and provide practice facilities for figure skaters and local hockey teams. Norwalk residents will receive discounts on skating lessons and public skating sessions.

The Hour reports that organizers are hoping to open the two rinks on Oct. 17, and they will close at the end of March. Temporary construction began last last month, and equipment is still being trucked in.
