Obit: ​Fredleif Andreassen, 84, of Norwalk

Fredleif Andreassen, 84, died in Norwalk CT on 3 July 2017.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; his brother Tomas (Gro); his daughter Nancy; son Terje (Barbara); grandchildren: Kristin and Jennifer(Tyler); and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
He was predeceased by his first wife of 41 years Brita Andreassen, and three brothers: Edward, Roy, and Terry.
Fredleif was born in Lista, Norway, immigrated to the US with Brita and their children in 1957 and settled in Brooklyn NY. He moved to Norwalk, CT in 2003. He was a Life Member of the Sons of Norway and a member of the New York District Council of Carpenters.
His family will receive friends on Friday, July 7 from 10:30 -12 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Norwalk, with a prayer service officiated by Rev. Robert Beinke, to be held at noon. Saturday, July 8, there will be calling hours from 9:30-11am at the Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, with burial to follow at Ocean View Cemetery.
