Obit: Mary Festa-Manzi Of Norwalk
She worked as a riveter during WWII, at the Hat Corporation and in Norwalk schools as a cafeteria worker.

Mary Angela Festa -Manzi of Norwalk passed away peacefully on November 7, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on May 13, 1922 in Westport, CT., the oldest child of the late Generosa and Amelia (DeVito) Festa, and lived in Norwalk for most of her life. During World War II Mary helped the war effort by working as a Riveter in Bridgeport, CT. She also worked at the Hat Corporation in Norwalk and in Norwalk schools as a cashier and cafeteria server until retirement. Mary is best remembered as a devoted, loving, wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her many siblings. She was happiest when surrounded by and entertaining and feeding family and friends. She will sadly be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her.
Mary is predeceased by her loving husband Vincent E. Manzi, her brothers, Alfred Festa, Samuel Festa and her sisters, Ann Reda and Josephine Purcell, and son-in-law Leonard Iancale
Mary is survived by her four daughters, Rose Ann Iancale, Marsha Kiska, (husband Stephen), Patricia Manzi and Joan Skinner, by four grandchildren, John Rastocky (wife Barbara), Brian Rastocky, Jessica Kiska, Paige Skinner and one great-granddaughter , Karin Needler and beloved sisters, Faye Dubois, Helen Barati, Rose Russo and Matilda (Tilly) Besaw , brother Pat Festa and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 11, 2017, 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Mary’s family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9-10 AM Saturday.
