
Mary M. Pelletier, age 92 of Norwalk passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Norwalk Hospital, while surrounded by her children. Born in New Britain, CT, the daughter of the late William and Madeline Hayes, she was the loving wife of the late Robert R. Pelletier for 55 years. She worked at Norwalk Community College for 25 years and was a member of St. Philip Parish where her children were raised and more recently was a daily communicant of St. Jerome Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with her family, who will miss her dearly.
A loving family woman, she is survived by her children; Gary Pelletier of Norwalk, Shelley Pelletier of MA, Marie Pelletier of Norwalk, Bonnie Douglas and her husband Mark of Cheshire, Jan Carpino and her husband Dave, of Watertown and Kathy Tatto and her husband Frank of Trumbull, 11 cherished grandchildren; Ryan, Chelsea, Evan, Tyler, Melanie, David, Daniel, Jenna, Madeline, MaryKate and Rob, her 3 great grandchildren Kaydence, Carter and Mackenzie, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was also predeceased by her sister Lorraine Zeldon. We are forever grateful to Stephanie, who provided loving at home care.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-7 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial shall be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd, Norwalk. Burial will be held privately at a later date at St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
