Over the course of his life he was very active in the formation and development of Temple Shalom of Norwalk. He was active in local politics specifically with regard to planning and zoning. He was very concerned that developers were not contributing their fair share of the burden of Norwalk’s infrastructure. He felt strongly about education and taught English as a Second Language at the Norwalk Library. He was an early adopter of solar energy and computer technology.
Adolph embodied living with purpose and was a lifelong learner. He enjoyed his work, was always ready to lend a hand, debate difficult topics, join you on the tennis court or spend an afternoon fishing on his boat enjoying Long Island Sound. He also enjoyed skiing, golf, jogging, and gardening. He was a skilled wood worker, specializing in clocks and he also enjoyed stain glass crafts.
Burial with military honors will be held privately. A Celebration of Life will be held in June. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norwalk Hospital or a caring charity of your choice in his name.
