Bernard M. Frank, 95, of Norwalk, passed away on January 3, 2024, at St Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy “Dee” (Rudolf) Frank for over 68 years.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, to the late Albert and Anne (Sakowitz) Frank, Bernie graduated from Harding High School where he was a standout on the championship football team.

After serving in the US Navy, as a Communications Officer, in the Korean War, Bernie continued his education at The University of Bridgeport, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He began his career at The Burndy Corporation where he worked as a Purchasing Manager Executive for 25 years and completed his career as the Director of Materials, at Paul H Gesswein and Sons, for an additional 25 years.
Over many years, Bernie appeared on many theatrical stages throughout the Fairfield County Community Theatre world. Some of his leading roles were in productions of Hello Dolly, Oliver, Annie, Mame, and Arsenic and Old Lace, just to name a few.

A true lover of dogs, a great joke, the New York Yankees and Frank Sinatra, Bernie loved spending time with his family.
Besides his devoted wife, Dee, Bernie is survived by his loving family, including son Reed Frank and his wife Marilou, of Trumbull, daughter, Susanne Smith and her husband David, of Easton, Grandchildren, Alexis Tarpley and her husband Matt, of New York City, Taylor Clothier and her husband Wick, of Fairfield, Allison Frank and her boyfriend, Ricky Schweitzer, of Brooklyn, NY and Great-Grandson, Wells Clothier, of Fairfield.
Bernard was laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Beth Israel Cemetery in Norwalk.
