Obituary: ​Douglas Andrew Knowles, 21, Of Norwalk

Doug was a gentle soul always willing to lend a hand to family, friends and neighbors.

Douglas Andrew Knowles, 21, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018. Born in Norwalk on March 14, 1996, he was the son of David and Laurie (D’Entrone) Knowles of Norwalk.

From a young age Doug loved the outdoors from climbing trees as a young boy to becoming an avid fisherman, hunter and member of the Cos Cob Archers. Doug was a 2014 graduate of Norwalk High School where he found his passion and excelled at the sport of wrestling all four years and participated in football.

He was a student at Norwalk Community College.

Doug cherished spending time with his parents, siblings and extended family. Doug was a gentle soul always willing to lend a hand to family, friends and neighbors. Doug will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts.

In addition to his parents, Doug is survived by his sister Carolyn and brother Tommy, his grandmother Barbara Knowles, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents Audrey and Frank D’Entrone and his grandfather Granville Knowles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 17, at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Church (216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk). Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery (81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk).
Friends may call on Friday, March 16, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home (92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT).
