Obituary: Elva Pauline Wilkinson Skrensky, 95, Of Norwalk

After retirement from her long career with Pepperidge Farm, she moved to North Carolina in 2012 to be closer to family.

Mrs. Elva Pauline Wilkinson Skrensky, 95, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Countryside Manor in North Carolina.

A native of Norwalk, Connecticut, Mrs. Skrensky was born on December 22, 1925, the daughter of the late Herbert Wilkinson and Pauline Bahn Wilkinson. She enjoyed gardening and was a talented artist. Her needlework and painting were impeccable.

After retirement from her long career with Pepperidge Farm, she moved to North Carolina in 2012 to be closer to family. She attended the Bridge Church with her family, as her health allowed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Glenna Wilkinson and friend and companion Patrick Pesacreta.

Surviving are her daughter Linda Retarides and her husband, George, of Kernersville; grandchildren Christopher Mahoney of Missouri City, TX and Jennifer Retarides of Greensboro, NC; and great-grandchildren Ryan Mahoney and John Mahoney, as well as other family members; Linda, Gustavo, Eamon and Emily Vasquez.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug 18, beginning at 11:30 -12:30, with a prayer service will be held at 12:30, at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.
