Obituary: Francis John Tatto, Sr., 79, Of Norwalk

Francis John Tatto, Sr., age 79, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at home in the presence of his loving family. Born in Norwalk, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Josephine Tatto.

Frank graduated from Norwalk High School in 1956, and received a bachelors degree in accounting from the University of Bridgeport in 1960. He served as an accountant in the United States Army from 1961 - 1964.

He retired as an internal auditor for the City of Stamford. Frank was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish and lifetime member of the Laurel Athletic Club. Upon retirement to Palm Coast, he was involved with the Santa Maria del Mar Church. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.

A devoted family man, Frank is survived by his loving wife Beth of 53 years, his brothers: John and his wife Lugene of Palm Coast, FL, and Salvatore of Longs SC; his children: Frank Tatto Jr. and his wife Kathy of Trumbull, Ann Mete and her husband John of Palm Coast, Mary Vavala and her husband Sal of Palm Coast, and son Salvatore and his wife Stephanie of Somers, NY. He is also survived by 12 cherished grandchildren: Nicholas, Ashley, Madeline, Alexis, MaryKate, Rachel, Rob, Christina, Marina, Ariella, Ryan and Andrew. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Janice Tatto and niece Corinne Harrison.

His family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16th from 4-8 pm at Magner Funeral Home (12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk). A Mass of Christian Burial shall be celebrated on Friday, August 17 at 10 a.m. at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church (203 East Avenue, Norwalk).
