Obituary: Frank B. Lincoln, Jr., 97, WWII Veteran

He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and during WW II was a physicist for the US Navy.

The following obituary of Frank B. Lincoln, Jr., 97, is from Magner Funeral Home:

Frank B. Lincoln, Jr., age 97 of Norwalk, died peacefully at Bridgeport Hospital on Monday, June 3. He was the husband of the late Kathleen McCue Lincoln. Frank was born on March 30, 1922 in the son of the late Frank B. Sr. and Florence Davies Lincoln. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and during WW II was a physicist for the US Navy. He also worked for Life Magazine and retired from the Hearst Corporation as operations manager. Frank was devoted to Literacy Volunteers in Norwalk. He loved language and was fluent in Japanese and Chinese. Frank also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

Frank is survived by his children Frank Lincoln III, David Lincoln, Matthew Lincoln, Laures Thursland, Stephen Lincoln, Kathleen Bajorinas and Keith Lincoln; his sisters Elizabeth Page and Priscilla Wheatley, 19 grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
