Obituary: Harold 'Spunky' Hughes Jr., 61, Of Norwalk

Harold J. Hughes, Jr., also known as "Spunky", 61, of Norwalk died on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

He was born in Norwalk on February 24, 1962, the son of the late Harold and Marion Rabbitt Hughes.

Harold attended Norwalk Schools and continued education with programs at Norwalk Community College. He retired from Cablevision after more than 30 years as a customer service representative. He loved spending time with friends, working on computers and most of all he loved eating out at local restaurants.

We wish to thank all of his friends and caregivers for helping him to live a full and happy life. Special thanks to Helen, Donna, Dave, Matt, John, Luigi, Mark, Danielle, Awilda, Patrick, and Kesner.

Harold is survived by several aunts and cousins and will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
