Obituary: Joan R. Lee, 87, Of Norwalk

Joan R. Lee, 87, of Norwalk died on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at her home in the company of her loving family. Born in Newark, NJ, the daughter of George E. and Mary H. (Rehfield) Roberts, she was the wife of the late John Lee.

A member of St. Matthew Church, Joan was a patriot and American history buff. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends, most especially, spending time with her cherished grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her children; Allison (Michael Ginsberg) Mangels, Heidi Mangels, Michael (Val) Mangels, Jeffrey (Jeanne) Mangels; as well as 2 grandchildren, Julia and Stephanie. She was lovingly known as Grandma Joan to Brittany, Mackenzie, Bryan, Zach and Jake.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 31 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home (12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk). Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Church in Norwalk, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
