Obituary: JoAnn Rose Raguseo, 71, Of Norwalk
A Fairfield Public Schools teacher for many years, she loved and took pride in all her students' accomplishments.

JoAnn Rose Raguseo, 71, of Norwalk, passed away on February 15th as a result of a three week battle with COVID-19.
JoAnn was born in Norwalk, CT on February 18, 1950, the daughter of the late Rose (Garofalo) and Joesph Raguseo. She graduated from Brien McMahon High School, and the University of Connecticut at Storrs with a degree in Education. She earned a Masters Degree in deaf education from Gallaudet College.

She spent her career in education primarily focused on teaching hearing impaired students. She taught in North Dakota, Texas and for many years in the Fairfield Public Schools. She loved and took pride in all her students’ accomplishments.
JoAnn was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served an 18 month mission to Roanoke, VA and was also President of the Relief Society in Norwalk from 1997-1999. She also served as a supervisor at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Manhattan Temple. She was a true example of Christ like service to her church family.

JoAnn is survived by her sister Theresa Letellier (Gil) of Bethel; nieces Nicole Jenkins (Brent) of Chatham, NJ and Monique Letellier of Bethel. She is also survived by her grand nephew and nieces Dylan, Katherine and Lindsey Jenkins of Chatham as well as many cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 682 South Avenue, New Canaan, CT 06840. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk. The family requests that all attendees wear a mask at church.
